McConnellsburg came out on top against Forbes Road on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fifth inning. The Spartans put the hurt on Forbes Road with a sharp 11-0 victory. Considering the Spartans have won six matchups by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Finn Kuhn tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hoyt Glenn was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Alexander, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Meanwhile, Everett fell victim to Fannett Metal and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fannett Metal. The Warriors have struggled against Fannett Metal recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
McConnellsburg is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Everett's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: McConnellsburg hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. It's a different story for Everett, though, as they've only averaged .235. Will they be able to contain McConnellsburg's hitters?
McConnellsburg beat Everett 3-0 in their previous matchup on April 9th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
