The Hamilton Aggies had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Curry 65-18 at home on Monday. Hamilton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matches by 20 points or more this season.
Hamilton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emily Jones, who scored 16 points along with four steals. Ella Kelley was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
The win was the 13th in a row for Hamilton, bringing their record for this year to 23-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Curry, they dropped their record down to 9-15 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Hamilton won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cordova on February 6th. Cordova will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Hamilton surely won't give up without a fight. Curry does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
