Kaleb Spencer and Mason Dobie certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Spencer scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks, while Dobie scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Spencer scored a full 31.1% of First Flight's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Cam Summerton, who scored 6 points.
Paul McNeil was on fire for Richmond: he shot 7-for-12 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 50 points and 17 rebounds. The contest was McNeil's third in a row with at least ten points. JV Drake was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals.
First Flight's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Richmond, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
First Flight won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Kinston at 9:00 p.m. on December 2nd. One thing working in Kinston's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
