Leading Waldron to victory were Lucas Shaw and Keith Settles. Shaw scored 18 points along with seven assists and five rebounds, while Settles scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Settles scored 15 or more points. Jacob Lindsey was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Southwestern's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Waldron, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
Southwestern will be playing in front of their home fans against Herron at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Herron has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 22. As for Waldron, they will head out on the road to challenge Seven Oaks Classical at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Seven Oaks Classical is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
