After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Monarch, the Poudre Impalas were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They put the hurt on Prairie View with a sharp 52-32 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Poudre has posted since December 5, 2023.
Kavi Voglund continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaqueline Forrest, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Poudre has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Prairie View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Poudre will take on Broomfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Prairie View, they will head out on the road to square off against Fort Collins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Collins presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Prairie View in Colorado (Fort Collins is ranked 18th, while Prairie View is ranked 126th).
