If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Banks. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Valley Catholic at 7:00 PM. Banks have bulldozed their previous four opponents, so Valley Catholic might have their hands full.
Banks put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They blew past Astoria 34-0. Junior Martial Stegemeir was the offensive standout of the match for Banks, as he rushed for 145 yards and 2 touchdowns. Stegemeir has now scored at least one touchdown in the past 3 games.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 8-64, which was the final score in Valley Catholic's tilt against Seaside. This makes it the second loss in a row for Valley Catholic.
Banks simply couldn't be stopped the last time the two teams met, as they easily beat Valley Catholic 48-7. Will Banks repeat their success, or does Valley Catholic have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
