The Gregori Jaguars lost to the Enochs Eagles back in January, but the Gregori Jaguars didn't allow the Enochs Eagles the same satisfaction on Friday. Gregori snuck past the Eagles with a 56-52 win.
Gregori found their leader in underclassman Jayson Powers, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Powers is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last three games he's played. Raphael Rosas was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Gregori's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-13. As for Enochs, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gregori will challenge the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Modesto has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 20. As for Enochs, they will head out on the road to take on the Pride at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Pitman's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games.
