The Boyd Christian Broncos entered their tilt with the Lancaster Christian Academy Knights with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Boyd Christian claimed a resounding 62-17 victory over Lancaster Christian Academy on the road. With Boyd Christian ahead 35-10 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Leading Boyd Christian to victory were Katie Bechtel and Brooke Kesey. Bechtel scored 14 points along with five rebounds, while Kesey scored 24 points. The matchup was Kesey's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Macie Bush, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Boyd Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Lancaster Christian Academy, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-7.
Boyd Christian and DeLand will face off at 3:35 p.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. DeLand is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Lancaster Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Christian Community at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
