If the Suffolk Christian Academy Knights were riding high off their 53-25 takedown of the Bethel Assembly Christian Academy Eagles last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Suffolk Christian Academy was just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 56-55 to Summit Christian Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Summit Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Cole Miller, who scored 15 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ezra Crowder, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Suffolk Christian Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Summit Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.
Suffolk Christian Academy will be playing at home against Rock Church at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Summit Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Spirit HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th.
