The Douglas County Tigers posted their closest win yet this season on Friday. They skirted past South Paulding 49-47. Winning may never get old, but Douglas County sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Douglas County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marquacious Wright led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Wright pulled down eight or more rebounds. Kory Young jr. was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Douglas County's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7. As for South Paulding, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
