The Anacoco Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Sulphur Golden Tors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Anacoco has four straight wins, Sulphur has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Anacoco barely beat Rosepine the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Anacoco put the hurt on Rosepine with a sharp 12-1 victory on Saturday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by ten runs or more this season.

She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Brooklyn Bryant was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Oni Duran was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Sulphur came up short against Calvary Baptist Academy on Saturday, falling 11-2.

Anacoco's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.4 runs. As for Sulphur, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
Sulphur's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Anacoco has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .451. It's a different story for Sulphur, though, as they've only averaged .363. Will they be able to contain Anacoco's hitters?
Anacoco might still be hurting after the 15-0 loss they got from Sulphur in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Anacoco avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
