While losing is never fun, Ash Grove can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 180th, while Sparta is ranked 29th).
Meanwhile, Fair Grove didn't have too much trouble with Marshfield at home on Friday as they won 63-45.
Ash Grove's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-2. As for Fair Grove, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Ash Grove skirted past Fair Grove 58-55 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ash Grove since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
