The Richland Royals lost against the Timber Creek Falcons back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Richland was outmatched by Timber Creek at home and fell 62-35. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Richland in their matchups with Timber Creek: they've now lost five in a row.
Several Royals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emma Ballah, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Bree Hartfiel, who scored 10 points.
Richland has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Timber Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Richland will head out on the road to face off against V.R. Eaton at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. V.R. Eaton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Richland in Texas (V.R. Eaton is ranked 430th, while Richland is ranked 875th). As for Timber Creek, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Reedy at 6:30 p.m. Reedy is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
