The Spectrum Sting will head out on the road to face off against the Milaca Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Spectrum will be strutting in after a victory while Milaca will be coming in after a defeat.
Spectrum had to kick off their season on the road last Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 74-43 win over Christ's Household of Faith on the road.
Meanwhile, Milaca couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. Their rough 63-43 loss to Royalton on Tuesday might stick with them for a while.
Despite the defeat, Milaca got a solid performance out of Samson Trigg, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Talberg, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
Spectrum's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Milaca, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Spectrum ended up a good deal behind Milaca when the teams last played back in December of 2022, losing 67-52. Thankfully for Spectrum, Lewis Wolbert (who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
