The Columbia Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Caldwell Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Caldwell took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Columbia, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Columbia beat Emmett 48-43. The win made it back-to-back wins for Columbia.
Caldwell suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were beaten by Bishop Kelly 59-15. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Caldwell has scored all season.
Columbia is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season. As for Caldwell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.
Everything came up roses for Columbia against Caldwell in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 46-16 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Columbia since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
