Softball Recap: Krum Wins Going Away Against Panther Creek

Krum was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Panther Creek on Saturday. Krum put the hurt on Panther Creek with a sharp 8-2 victory. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Addison Martindale made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Paige Bianchi was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Jazmine Jackson was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Krum's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Panther Creek, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-4 record.

Krum and Panther Creek should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Krum will challenge Bridgeport at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 906 places (89 vs. 995). Meanwhile, Panther Creek (ranked 136th) will meet Ranchview (ranked 987th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
