North Cedar had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 18-39 walloping at Tipton hands. If North Cedar were expecting payback for the 26-44 loss against Tipton the last time the teams met, then they were shortchanged. This was the first contest for both squads, starting North Cedar off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Tipton a 1-0 record.
Next week, North Cedar take on Durant at 7:00 PM. As for Tipton, they will face of against Vinton-Shellsburg.
