Sam Rayburn made up a huge gap compared to their last game against South Houston, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Sam Rayburn Texans never let the South Houston Trojans get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Friday. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Texans this season.

Sam Rayburn's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-6-2. As for South Houston, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-11.

Coincidentally, Sam Rayburn and South Houston will both be playing Alvin the next time they take the field. South Houston will head out to face Alvin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Sam Rayburn will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on March 21st.
