The Windermere Prep Lakers entered their tilt with the Hagerty Huskies with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Windermere Prep walked away with a 57-50 victory over Hagerty on Friday.
Windermere Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zoe Sedo, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. That's the first time this season that Sedo pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eni Oyedeji, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Windermere Prep pushed their record up to 10-3 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 20.08 points. As for Hagerty, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Windermere Prep and University will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. University will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while Windermere Prep is ranked 96th). Hagerty will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Winter Springs at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th.
