The Wesclin Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Sparta Bulldogs at 6:05 p.m. on Thursday. Sparta took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Wesclin, who comes in off a win.
Last Monday, Wesclin didn't have too much trouble with Chester on the road as they won 60-43. The victory was just what Wesclin needed coming off of a 68-29 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Sparta's 17-8 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell 41-31 to Marissa/Coulterville on Monday.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Kenzie Pierce, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. The contest was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruthie Pillers, who scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds.
The losses dropped Wesclin to 1-2 and Chester to 2-2.
Wesclin beat Sparta 48-40 when the teams last played back in January. Does Wesclin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sparta turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
