Cross Schools has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Holly Hill Academy Raiders in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Cross Schools is ranked 266th, while Holly Hill Academy is ranked 268th).
Even though Step of Faith Christian Academy scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, Cross Schools still came out on top. Cross Schools took their contest against Step of Faith Christian Academy 69-60. The win was just what Cross Schools needed coming off of a 96-71 loss in their prior contest.
Cross Schools' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Fulda led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jose David Garcia, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Holly Hill Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 53-33 defeat at the hands of Curtis Baptist.
Cross Schools' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6. As for Holly Hill Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
