Basketball Recap: Paxton Skates Past Sutherland with Ease

Paxton waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They claimed a resounding 44-12 victory over the Sutherland Sailors. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Paxton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ella Fote, who posted ten points and six rebounds. What's more, Fote also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jordan Clouse, who went 5-for-7 en route to 11 points and three steals.

Paxton's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.0 points over those games. As for Sutherland, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

As of now, neither Paxton nor Sutherland have any future games scheduled.
