Paramount and Compton pushed the score to 47-29 the last time they played Compton, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Pirates secured a 7-3 W over the Tarbabes. The Pirates' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Zechariah Moreno threw for 59 yards on six of nine attempts. Deon Anthony was his top target, picking up 40 receiving yards. On the ground, Dae'Jon Massey rushed for 66 yards and one touchdown.

Paramount's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Compton, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paramount will challenge Orange at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Compton, they will face off against Dorsey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
