Despite the loss, Hillsboro saw an underclassman step up: Charlee Mack almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Mack has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.
Venus has been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 18 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-22 record this season. As for Hillsboro, they dropped their record down to 9-23 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
