JJ Davis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 32 points along with two steals. He hasn't dropped below 19 points for four straight games. Dakarai Worley was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Marion strolled past Lee Central with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 53-38. Given Marion's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Lee Central is ranked 157th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mullins has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Marion, their victory bumped their record up to 16-8.
Mullins was able to grind out a solid victory over Marion in their previous matchup back in January, winning 64-54. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Marion's Jamorius Wilson, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.
