Even though The Marysville Getchell have not done well against the Oak Harbor Wildcats recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Marysville Getchell came out on top against Oak Harbor by a score of 28-18. The victory was nothing new for Marysville Getchell as they're now sitting on five straight.
Marysville Getchell's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.3 points per game. As for Oak Harbor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marysville Getchell will take on Shorecrest at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Shorecrest will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Marysville Getchell is ranked 65th). As for Oak Harbor, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Shorewood at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Shorewood is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
