After flying high against Laurel Hill  on Thursday, Baker came back down to earth. Baker took  a  6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ponce De Leon Pirates on Friday. The Gators were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won  2-0.
 Baker saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Emily Whiddon, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-4.
Baker's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Ponce De Leon, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
 Coming up, Baker is taking a road trip to  challenge Central  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Ponce De Leon, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Geneva  at 4:30  p.m.
