The Foley Lions will challenge the Bayshore Christian Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Foley has four straight victories, Bayshore Christian has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
It was a proper cat-fight when Foley challenged Citronelle on Friday. Foley put the hurt on Citronelle with a sharp 12-1 win. Considering the Lions have won five games by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Foley let William Quarles and Austin Heiden run wild. Quarles scored two runs while going 1-for-3, while Heiden scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two runs gave Quarles a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gavin Glass, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Foley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Citronelle only posted an OBP of .318.
Meanwhile, Bayshore Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Fairhope on Tuesday and fell 4-3.
Cory Parker was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Foley's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs over those games. As for Bayshore Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Foley's speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's match. Foley has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Bayshore Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Foley continue to outrun the ball?
Foley was able to grind out a solid win over Bayshore Christian in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 7-4. Will Foley repeat their success, or does Bayshore Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
