After losing to Chapman the last time they met, Marysville decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Irish by a score of 16-11 on Tuesday. That five run margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Marysville's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was JT Becker, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Grant Haefele was another, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.

Marysville's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Chapman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Marysville will challenge Valley Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.17 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Chapman, they will face off against Russell at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
