They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 85-50 victory over Our Lady of Lourdes. Catholic Central has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Leading Catholic Central to victory were Darien Moore and Sei'Mir Roberson. Moore scored 28 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Roberson went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 6 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Roberson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Xaul Arroyo, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Catholic Central's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.0 points per game. As for Our Lady of Lourdes, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-1.
Catholic Central will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Cobleskill-Richmondville at 6:30 p.m. Cobleskill-Richmondville is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. Our Lady of Lourdes will be staying on the road on Sunday to face off against La Salle Institute at 2:00 p.m. on January 14th. La Salle Institute has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 211 points over their last three games.
