Ty Jones Delivers Best Effort of Season
Sadly, Ty Jones posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Lakeside over Brunswick on Friday. Jones rushed for 203 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 101 or more in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Brunswick, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Jones. When Jones last faced the Pirates back in October of 2023, he rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 177 yards and a touchdown.
