After low-scoring totals in their previous six contests, Crowley brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-11 victory over the LaGrange Gators on Monday. The Gent haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

M Morgan and Elli Potier did most of the damage at the plate: Morgan scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Potier scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. What's more, Potier posted two hits, the most she's had over her last seven matchups. Another player making a difference was Laykn Lalonde, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.

The victory got Crowley back to even at 10-10. As for LaGrange, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.

Coming up, Crowley will welcome Northwest at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 24.13 runs per game on average), something the Gent will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for LaGrange, they will head out on the road to take on Iowa at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
