Tanner Brown gave up the fewest hits he has since back in May of 2024 on Tuesday. He wasn't messing around, pitching 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The pitching appearance was his fifth straight with two or fewer hits.

Brown's strong effort led Huntington Beach over Los Alamitos and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Oilers are 8-1 against the Griffins going back to March of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
