Basketball Recap: Vistamar's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

Vistamar lost against California Academy of Math & Science back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vistamar Vikings took a 47-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the California Academy of Math & Science Coyotes. The matchup marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Vistamar lost, don't look at Isaiah Hill. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 17 rebounds. The game was Hill's 14th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Eckstein, who posted nine points and five boards.

Vistamar moved to 9-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for California Academy of Math & Science, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Vistamar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-48 victory against Wildwood on the 16th. As for California Academy of Math & Science, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 46-38 win against Hawthorne Math & Science Academy on the 16th.
