After a string of eight wins, Coventry's good fortune finally ran out  on Thursday. They fell just short of the Pilgrim Patriots by a score of  3-1.  On Pilgrim's side, they also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in:  Gretchen Dombeck gave up only one earned run on five hits.
 On the hitting side, Pilgrim let  Genna D?Amato and  Madison Tuirok loose on the outfield. D?Amato  scored a  run while going 2-for-3, while  Tuirok  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Coventry's loss  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 10-2. As for Pilgrim, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record  this season.
 Coventry will head out on the road to  take on  La Salle Academy at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. La Salle Academy is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Coventry a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Pilgrim will take on St. Raphael Academy at 4:30  p.m.  on Saturday.
