Centennial dropped their record down to 16-6 on Thursday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They fell 6-2 to the Organ Mountain Knights. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 6-0.

Gilberto Torres was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

As for Organ Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games.

On Organ Mountain's side, they got a great performance from Gera Delgado as he struck out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. Delgado has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ryo Rivera was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Eric Gomez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Centennial beat Organ Mountain by a score of 8-3 later that day.
