The Clarksburg Rockets will head out on the road to square off against the Halls Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Clarksburg and eight for the Tigers.
Last Tuesday, Clarksburg was the victim of a rough 60-39 defeat at the hands of the Tigers. While losing is never fun, Clarksburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 335th, while the Tigers are ranked 106th).
Meanwhile, Halls came up short against the Tigers on Friday and fell 48-39.
Clarksburg's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Halls, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.
Clarksburg took a serious blow against the Tigers when the teams last played back in January of 2022, falling 61-28. Can Clarksburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
