The Sunnybrook Christian Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 60-20 loss at the hands of Lifegate Christian. Sunnybrook Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-7.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lifegate Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hailee Lipsey, who scored 14 points along with eight steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Sharla Maples, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 steals.
Sunnybrook Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Lifegate Christian, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-1.
Sunnybrook Christian will head out on the road to face off against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lifegate Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Founders Classical Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Founders Classical Academy: 25.8, Lifegate Christian: 24.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
