After three games on the road, Aberdeen is heading back home. They will take on the Grace Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Saturday, things could have been worse for Aberdeen, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 71-56 loss to West Side. Aberdeen has not had much luck with West Side recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Aberdeen had strong showings from Canon Foster, who scored 19 points along with two steals, and Griffin Knittel, who scored 17 points along with five assists. That's the first time this season that Foster grabbed two or more steals. Luke Shackelford was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Even though they lost, Aberdeen were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Grace scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Friday. They blew past Malad, posting a 63-33 victory at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Grace has managed all season.
Aberdeen's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-5. As for Grace, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.
Aberdeen came out on top in a nail-biter against Grace in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, sneaking past 46-43. Will Aberdeen repeat their success, or does Grace have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
