Mills University Studies unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Vilonia by a score of 36-33. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Mills University Studies came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas football rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Vilonia is ranked 71st).
Despite their defeat, Mills University Studies saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Dylan Parks, who picked up 232 receiving yards and two touchdowns, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Achillies Ringo, who threw for 260 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Wynne had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Nettleton 41-39.
Vilonia's win bumped their season record to 4-7 while Mills University Studies' loss dropped theirs to 8-2.
