Baseball Recap: Ridgevue Find Success

Ridgevue won against Kuna last Tuesday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Warhawks skirted past the Meridian Warriors 13-12. The Warhawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

The team relied heavily on Jaxon Johnson, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Jameson Deitz also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Ridgevue always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Ridgevue is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Meridian, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Ridgevue didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-10 defeat against Middleton on the 4th. As for Meridian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-3 loss against Rocky Mountain on the 4th.
