Cambridge is 8-2 against the Warriors since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Cambridge Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Arapahoe Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Cambridge is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
Last Saturday, Cambridge came up short against the Irish and fell 65-54. While losing is never fun, Cambridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Irish are ranked 29th).
Cambridge's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Brady Ahlemeyer, who scored 12 points along with four steals, and Carson Trompke who scored 16 points. Maverick Webb was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Meanwhile, Arapahoe didn't have too much trouble with the Falcons on the road on Saturday as they won 58-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Arapahoe.
Trenton Roskop and Kade Fisher were among the main playmakers for Arapahoe as the former scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists and the latter scored 26 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Fisher is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Gage Gooden, who scored five points along with two steals.
Cambridge's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Arapahoe, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Cambridge have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Arapahoe struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.2 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Cambridge beat the Warriors 48-40 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Will Cambridge repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
