Given Joppatowne's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while Harford Tech is ranked 238th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Kishann Smith, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Phil Clark was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Even though Glen Burnie has not done well against Old Mill recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Glen Burnie snuck past Old Mill with a 58-52 victory.
Joppatowne's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Glen Burnie, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
