The Wagner Thunderbirds will head out on the road to square off against the Veterans Memorial Patriots at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Wagner is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Wagner was able to grind out a solid victory over Seguin, taking the game 3-1. The victory was just what Wagner needed coming off of a 7-1 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Veterans Memorial scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Seguin 5-2. The win made it back-to-back wins for Veterans Memorial.
They hit Seguin with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Ramiro Garza (2),
Izaiah Garza,
Arturo Hernandez, and
Rodrigo Lozano-munoz.
Wagner's record is now 2-9-3. As for Veterans Memorial, they now have a winning record of 8-7-2.
Wagner came up short against Veterans Memorial in their previous matchup back in January, falling 2-0. Can Wagner avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
