Pleasant Valley has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the East Stroudsburg North Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Pleasant Valley suffered their biggest loss yet this season last Friday. They suffered a tough 69-43 loss at the hands of Parkland. While losing is never fun, Pleasant Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 389th, while Parkland is ranked 22nd).
Meanwhile, East Stroudsburg North pushed their score all the way to 66 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 70-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pocono Mountain East. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Monday (61), East Stroudsburg North still had to take the loss.
Defeat or not, East Stroudsburg North got some senior leadership from Bryceson Dobie and Nate Wilder. Dobie scored 26 points, while Wilder. scored 19 points. Wilder hasn't dropped below 15points for eight straight games.
Pleasant Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for East Stroudsburg North, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
Things could have been worse for Pleasant Valley, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 66-52 loss to East Stroudsburg North in their previous meeting back in December of 2023.
