The Sacred Heart Indians stacked a 24th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They really took it to Austin Waldorf for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-45 win on the road. Winning may never get old, but Sacred Heart sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sacred Heart to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nic Angerstein, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 steals. Angerstein is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least six every time he's taken the court this season. Andrew Steffek was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Sacred Heart is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 28-6 record this season. As for Austin Waldorf, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13.
Sacred Heart will head out on the road to square off against St. Paul at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sacred Heart knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 17 matchups -- so hopefully St. Paul likes a good challenge. As for Austin Waldorf, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Summit Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Summit Christian Academy is coming into the matchup with eight straight losses on the road, meaning Austin Waldorf will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
