The Los Angeles CES Unicorns were the 80-50 winner over the Hamilton Yankees when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Los Angeles CES fell 61-52 to Hamilton on Monday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Los Angeles CES came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while Hamilton is ranked 802nd).
Micah Jahn was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with seven rebounds for Hamilton. That makes it four consecutive games in which Jahn has scored at least 25% of Hamilton's points. Demaije May was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Los Angeles CES and nudges their season record down to 10-7. As for Hamilton, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.
Los Angeles CES will head out on the road to face off against Palisades at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hamilton, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against University at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully University focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Monday.
