As a matter of fact, Lyman put up the most  runs they have all season  on Thursday. They were the clear victors by  a  12-2 margin over Colonial. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Greyhounds as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak.
 Ava Campanale was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run and one  stolen base. That  home run marked the first that  she has  launched this season.  Makayla Darwent was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 Lyman was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .385. They are 2-1 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Pine Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They came up short against  Atlantic, falling  21-11. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by  exactly ten  runs.
  Aliyah Campos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Shannon Brayton, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 Lyman's victory bumped their record up to 5-17. As for Pine Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15-1.
 Everything went Lyman's way against Pine Ridge in their previous matchup  back in February of 2024, as Lyman made off with  a  17-3 win. Will the Greyhounds repeat their success,  or do  the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
