Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Geneva). They strolled past the Edgewood Red Wolves with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 74-55.

Despite the defeat, Edgewood had strong showings from Santiago Jimenez, who went 8 of 19 on his way to 20 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals, and Eddie Monterrubio, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Jimenez is becoming a predictor of Edgewood's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 2-1 (and 1-5 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Manan Patel, who posted nine points.

Geneva's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Edgewood, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Geneva will host Foundation Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 21st. As for Edgewood, they will take on Cocoa Beach in a tournament on Wednesday. Edgewood is facing Cocoa Beach at the right time seeing as Cocoa Beach is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
