The Bauxite Miners will take on the Warren Lumberjacks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bauxite had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past McGehee 42-14 at home. The win was nothing new for Bauxite as they're now sitting on five straight.
Bauxite got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Walt Duncan out in front who rushed for 90 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Perry, who rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Warren put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Trumann 42-12 at home. 42 seems to be a good number for Warren as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Bauxite has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Warren, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record.
